Ok, I admit it!

Ok, so one day this past week Michelle and I were on our way to an event at FPCBCC,

Faith Promise Church, Knoxville - a contemporary church in Knoxville, TN

.To say the least it had been a difficult day and my loving wife could sense that something was wrong.

After some inquiry I shared with her my burden, it was FEAR. I shared with her my fear of where I see our economy heading. You have got to admit it looks rather bleak, as a business owner sometimes I think it looks catastrophic! We have supposedly, some of the most intelligent people in the world making some of the stupidest decisions. No wonder I am afraid!

What I expected from my wife was not what I received. I expected an oh it will be ok your worrying too much. The word I received was a word from God thru my wife. It was certainly what I needed to hear!

She began with “now wait just a minute” Your forgetting who you are and who you serve. Who am I? Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.1 John 3:1 KJV. No cushy it’ll be alright, like a Bapticostal preacher’s wife she starts preaching.

But that’s ok I needed to be reminded about who I am. I am a son as John puts it. As a son I have been given certain privileges one of which is peace. Christ said to his disciples before his ascension Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

John 14:26-28

You see, the economy I work in is not solely controlled by the Fed or anyone else for that matter. It is controlled by God and I am his son. As of yet we’ve not had a NEED that has not been met. That fact gives me peace.

I am less fearful when I consider things that really matter. What happens around us is designed by satan to capture our attention, to hold our attention to keep us from doing our work. The most important work of letting others know they too can become the sons of God.
From beginning to end in God’s word all he wants for us is peace. When we sin we take away God’s plan for peace in our lives and replace it with fear. That’s why Christ came, that we might have peace.

So ok I admit it I was wrong I had no reason to be fearful!

Want to be a son and experience true peace, here’s how. You can pray where you are. Tell God that you're sorry for the things you've done and for turning your back on Him. Tell Him that you believe that He died and rose again because of your sins, and ask Him to save you. Tell Him that you're turning away from your sins. Tell Him that you need His presence to guide you through life. Tell God that you're giving Him your whole life. Thank Him for loving you and offering you salvation
